Basketball NWT Announces New Executive Director Yellowknife, NT — October 16th, 2025 – Basketball NWT is pleased to announce the appointment of Tanya Kearney as its new Executive Director.
Basketball NWT Announces New Executive Director Yellowknife, NT — October 16th, 2025 – Basketball NWT is pleased to announce the appointment of Tanya Kearney as its new Executive Director.
Tanya has called Yellowknife home for the past 24 years and brings with her a strong background in community sport leadership and volunteerism. Over the past two decades, she has been deeply involved in the local soccer community, serving as a long-time volunteer, coach, and team manager. In addition to her involvement in sport, Tanya is the current Chairperson for the Run For Our Lives fundraising initiative and a member of the Stanton Territorial Hospital Foundation.

She understands what it takes to build programs from the ground up and inspire people to get involved.
